Ayabie Visual Kei band

As a visual kei band, Ayabie was part of the genre. Visual Kei is a Japanese music movement that emerged in the 1980s. They stood out from other visual kei bands due to their blend of various musical styles.

Ayabie, also called AYABIE, is a visual kei rock band from Japan. The band was formed in 2004 and gained popularity for their unique blend of visual aesthetics and diverse musical styles. These styles range from rock and pop to electronic and experimental sounds. Ayabie's music features catchy melodies, elaborate guitar work, and a theatrical stage presence. 

This distinctive sound and style has earned Ayabie critical acclaim and a devoted fan base in Japan and abroad. The band has released several successful albums, singles, and live DVDs. They have also collaborated with other visual kei bands and gained international attention with their performances in Europe and the United States.

Ayabie's original lineup consisted of vocalist Aoi, guitarists Takehito and Ryōhei, bassist Intetsu, and drummer Kenzo. They released their debut EP, "Romancer," in 2004 and released several albums, singles, and DVDs throughout their career. Their music appealed to visual kei subculture fans, characterized by flamboyant fashion, elaborate makeup, and theatrical performances.

Ayabie experienced some lineup changes over the years, with members leaving and younger members joining. In 2010, vocalist Aoi left the band, and Ayabie was placed on hiatus. In 2011, Yumehito was brought on as the group's vocalist, but the group disbanded in 2016. Throughout their active years, Ayabie's discography included albums such as "Virgin Snow Color," "Euro Best," and "Answer." Some of their popular songs include "Melody," "Rikkaboshi," and "Cubic Lover." The band's music videos often showcased their visual style and elaborate costumes.

Ayabie played a significant role in the visual kei scene and left a lasting impact on genre fans. While they are no longer active, their music is appreciated by their dedicated fanbase. As a result of Ayabie's dissolution in 2016, the former members pursued a variety of careers. The following is an overview of what happened to each member after disbandment:

1. Aoi (Former Vocalist):

After leaving Ayabie, Aoi pursued a solo career under the name "Aoi (the GazettE)" and released several singles. In 2019, he rejoined the visual kei band the GazettE as their vocalist.

 

2. Takehito (Former Guitarist):

Takehito took a break from the music industry after Ayabie's disbandment.

He has not been involved in any significant musical projects since then.

 

3. Ryōhei (Former Guitarist):

Following Ayabie's disbandment, Ryōhei formed a new band called Mr. Crude. However, the band has not released any music or made significant activity as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021.

4. Intetsu (Former Bassist):

Intetsu pursued a solo career after Ayabie's disbandment and released several singles. In 2019, he also formed a new band called THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S, where he serves as the vocalist.

 

5. Kenzo (Former Drummer):

Kenzo joined the band LAGNA in 2017 as their drummer. LAGNA is a visual kei band that has released several albums and singles since its formation.
